Literature Text

Amy quietly walked up the steps that led by the rows of seats, her movements stiff and robotic. She could hardly enjoy the fact that she was about to see one of the most hit romantic comedies of all time for free--she was too afraid. I'm not lesbian. I can't be with Rouge. I don't want to be with Rouge, do I? she glanced to the white bat. Do I...?
She was still pondering the question as she took a seat near the back of the building. If they did kiss (and Amy dreaded this most terrifically), at least they wouldn't be seen. Folding one leg over the other, she inhaled deeply and willed herself to be calm. You get to see this for free. she told herself, releasing a sigh. Enjoy yourself.
But she couldn't enjoy herself. Not in the least. Her mind was a blur, and the movie was nearly half-way over before she realized how much time she was wasting. Shaking her head violently, she grit her teeth and set her jaw. Shut up, Amy. she told herself. You can deal with this crap later.
Finally, she was at peace. Releasing a sigh of content, she leaned back in her seat and watched the movie. I wonder what just happened, she thought musingly. Well, it doesn't matter. You'll--
Her thoughts were interrupted by a vague whisper. It was Rouge. Amy tensed, partly from surprise (she had forgotten Rouge was with her) and partly from fear. Pretending to have been concentrating on the movie, she ignored Rouge.
 "Ames?"
Her voice was a touch louder. Amy cringed, and said, "Mm-hmm?" Without turning to look. Maybe Rouge wouldn't care.
 "Amy, look at me."
Amy sighed, turned her head to face the bat, and said, "Yes, Rouge? What is it?"
 Only, she didn't say that.
Before she could speak, Amy found that she felt someone's lips against her own. Shaking out of her daze, she realized it was Rouge's lips. She stared in alarm at her friend, trembling--part from after-shock and part from...pleasure. Rouge is kissing me. she thought. I'm kissing Rouge.
But, she didn't pull away. She just stared. And stared. Route was taking an awfully long time to finish. But at last, after what seemed like an eternity, the bat pulled back. She looked content. She didn't say a word.
Amy stared at her for a minute longer, then licked her lips. "I need to use to bathroom," she mumbled, barely audible, and she stood up. Queasiness had set in, and Amy was trembling violently now. Her voice would have shaken like a maraca, had she have spoken any louder. Brushing past the bat, she ran down the stairs and out of the room.
Amy really felt sick now. She rushed to find a bathroom, but couldn't for a while. But at last, she turned a corner and saw the sign: "Restrooms". She burst open the door, hurled herself over a toilet, and vomit.
* * *
Amy was surprised that a single kiss could have such an effect on her. She sat in the bathroom for at least thirty minutes, feeling miserable, and thinking of Rouge. She was surprised at herself for not pulling away as soon as Rouge had done so, and perhaps that was the reason why she had felt sick. Shaking her head, she stood up and unlocked the door.
Outside, Rouge was waiting for you. "Amy, are you alright?" She said gently, dashing over. "You look green. Oh, I was so worried. You were in there for a while! I've been waiting here for at least twenty minutes." She checked the watch on her wrist. "Yes, twenty minutes. Oh, dear, do you think it was something in the popcorn? We need to get you home."
All Amy could do was nod weakly. She fell into Rouge's open arms, suddenly just not caring. "Home. I want to go home." She said, and this was true. Amy didn't think she could stand up for much longer. She was exhausted, and she didn't know why. So she leaned in the bat until they got to the car, then she pushed away and opened the door to the passenger's seat.
Rouge got in on the other side. "I'm sorry you couldn't enjoy the movie. But, I don't think you would like it anyway. I was surprised so many people thought it was great." She sighed. "It really wasn't."
Amy shrugged. "I don't care." She leaned back in her seat. "Just take me home. Please."
Rouge nodded obediently and put the car in reverse, shifted gears, and drove away from the theatre. "You're gonna be okay, Ames." Rouge said, running her fingers through Amy's hair. Amy sighed and rested her head on her hands, curling up in the front seat. The last thing she felt before drifting to sleep was Rouge's lips on her own.
But this time, Amy didn't care.
Kisses
Amy has her first and second kiss with Rouge...hooray! She doesn't enjoy the first one though u.u makes her, uh, puke. Literally.
